Sean is a commercial photographer specializing in adventure, lifestyle, nature, and travel; for ad, corporate, and editorial clients.
He’s had freelance and contracted assignments with over 250 publications and 150 companies worldwide including American Express, Backpacker, California Division of Tourism, Endless Vacation, Fuji Film USA, GEO Germany, Microsoft, National Geographic Adventure and Traveler, The New York Times, Nikon Inc., The North Face, Outside, Random House, REI, Timex, Via magazine, and Woodbridge wines.
Sean has shot over 200 assignments for Sunset, written many feature authors which he photographed, and authored the book The BetterPhoto Guide to Exposure.
A native Californian, he received his B.A. in Commercial photography from Brooks Institute in ‘91, began his business thereafter combining outdoor, on-location, and studio photography. To date he’s shot over a half a million images, written numerous articles, and currently working on a tv show on photography.
He shoots in 120mm medium format and 35mm, film and digital, and has traveled around much of the US, and international locations including Canada, Mexico, the UK, Southeast Asia, and; South America.
